Jameson Rodgers Performs Emotional New Song "Good Dogs"

Jameson Rodgers recently had success with his song "Some Girls" and his collaboration with Luke Combs "Cold Beer Calling My Name." He stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to perform his new song, a cover of Miranda Lambert, talk about his recent engagement, plus play a game with Bobby Bones.

Rodgers admitted to Bones that he's starting to see the success in the form of money from his song "Some Girls," but noted he didn't write it. He doesn't believe he has to write every song for himself. Before Rodgers became a country artist with hits, he was able to get a paycheck in Nashville by being a songwriter. Some songs of his include Florida Georgia Line's "Talk You Out Of It," Chris Lane's "I Don't Know About You," Luke Bryan's "Born Here Live Here Die Here," and Jason Aldean's "Camouflage Hat." As for his latest collaboration with Combs, Rodgers shared that when they were writing "Cold Beer Calling My Name," they weren't planning on making a duet. It wasn't until they were recording the song in the studio and Combs hit him up about coming on tour. During the tour ask, Rodgers thought it would be cool to have a feature on his first album. Then he asked Combs to join him on the song and the rest is history.

Things are also happening in Rodgers' personal life. He just recently got engaged to another artist, her name is Sarah Allison Turner. Rodgers noted that despite both of them being country artists, they each have their own separate crews and things going on. So much so that they only write together a handful of times each year. He also shared that they're not really competitive with each other, rather they are each other's biggest fans when it comes to music. They often will even critique each other's songs and give valuable feedback. They're set to get married this September.
