Woman Turns To Twitter To Help Her Father's Food Truck & People Show Up

21-year-old Giselle Aviles saw her father's food truck Taqueria El Torito fall on hard times during the pandemic and wanted to find a way to help him. So she took to her social media and hoped for the best.

She made a plea on Twitter asking for people to go see him. She wrote,

"Hey Twitter!! I wouldn't normally do this, but my dad's taco truck business is struggling, he only sold $6 today. If you could retweet, I would appreciate you so much!! [food truck address] 8740 FM-1960, Humble, TX 77346."

And amazingly enough, Aviles social media plea worked. The tweet garnered more than 9,000 retweets. She told her father that he should start to prepare for some new customers when the truck opens the next morning. He isn't a social media guy so he wasn't sure what his daughter meant, but when he arrived at his food truck a line of customers were already waiting for him.

Business was so busy that the food truck had to close down twice, once to restock, and again when they completely sold out. Aviles has since made an Instagram page in hopes customers will continue to find his truck and he stays just as busy.
