'American Idol' auditions coming to Buffalo

"American Idol" judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, or Lionel Richie will be searching for talent in Buffalo.

During the Part I season finale Monday, host Ryan Seacrest announced that Buffalo is among the cities that will host "American Idol" auditions for the next season.

According to WKBW, Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner Tim Clark said the show has contacted him about possibly sending producers to the Queen City for auditions.

There is no set date for the auditions yet, and ABC is expected to release further details soon.

One got the American Idol win, and they both got love.

Maddie Poppe was named the winner of American Idol’s comeback season Monday (May 21) on ABC, and Caleb Lee Hutchinson snagged second place—and the champion’s heart. In the final 15 minutes of the season finale, Caleb revealed he and Maddie, who remained friends throughout their Idol journey, are actually dating.

The twosome was gifted with a free trip to Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii. As the winner, Maddie now signs a record deal with Hollywood Records.

Her debut single “Going Going Gone” is currently in the Top 5 on the all-genre iTunes’ album chart.
